BBC Apprentices: who are we looking for?

We are looking for people who are passionate about the media, full of ideas, and have an enthusiasm to learn.

You will be positive, and able to get on with all sorts of people.

Its your ambition that is most important to us: we want apprentices who

can take on a challenge and use this to reach their full potential.

You’ll need to have good basic Maths, English and IT skills and you have to

be 18 or over to apply.

You must be able to work and study full time for a year (flexible hours).

As this is a Level 3 qualification, the apprenticeship is not for those people

with qualifications higher than A-levels.

If you have a place at University, you are ineligible for this scheme.

The 2012 scheme starts in April for 12 months.

What will you do?

You will study at Westminster Kingsway College and receive skills training at the BBC in West London.

You’ll work with teams making BBC TV programmes and websites, which could be in our drama, entertainment,

factual or comedy teams, or with one of our partner production companies.

You will be helping programme-making teams, through admin support and office duties, as well essential tasks

like taking tapes and equipment from one location to another. You’ll be the person teams rely on for help in any situation

and we’ll make sure you are able to learn, develop and study as well.
